“My name is Judith Eykelenboom. As a writer / journalist I am always looking for the stories behind the stories, in other words: what people drives to do what they do, what their motives are and how they cope with difficulties on their path. Reading between the lines, hearing what is unsaid and seeing what is hidden are skills that distinguish me in my discipline. In the end, every story comes down to the people who are connected to it!
In 2016 I debuted with my Dutch novel Biefstuk, with wich I came on the shortlist of 3 best debutes of that year and received a funding from Nederlands Letterenfonds to write Transferium, my second novel that is almost ready for publication.
As a freelance journalist I made productions for Tijdgeest (Trouw), Volkskrant Magazine, Den Haag Centraal and Parool. I love travelling, meet new people and new cultures, party, nature, yoga and off course reading good books. I am very grateful to combine my work with the things Ialready love!”
